Back home -- kind of
I'm back from the road, but tomorrow I'll be in San Clemente, California for their sold-out Friends of the San Clemente Library event. You have to love a community that shows that much support for its library!

Dear Jan: I just saw that you appeared yesterday in San Clemente! Drat and darn! I would like to know if there is a conference planned for Southern California like the one in Seattle. I would love to attend and would help out with the event. I do research for T. Jefferson Parker and Christopher Rice. I love your books and all crime novels. Would love to be able to help with the Crime Lab Project here in California. Thanks for all you do. sherrymerryman@msn.com
At the risk of sounding like a gushing little girl, I wanted to let you know I’m a very big fan of your work! Recently I was stuck in bed for a week with the flu, but I really didn’t mind because I finally had enough time to read all of your books. I love the Irene Kelly series, Bloodlines being my very favorite of all of your work. I immensely enjoyed the off series books as well, Nine being my favorite (that one I could not put down). I was pleased to see you have an active blog and I’m looking forward to reading your entries.
Thank you for sharing your writing with us!
Sherry, sorry I missed seeing you. Other than the Sisters in Crime Conference in LA in June, I don't think there will be anything close to it for a while. If you can get to St. Louis, though, go to the November event (see my 2/14 post).
Thanks so much for the kind words -- you do research for two of my favorite people.
I appreciate your willingness to support the CLP! Check out today's CLP Forum for an immediate way to help labs in California!

Kristen, thank you! I don't mind the gushing little girl business at all. :-)
Hope you're feeling better now. Glad the books helped you through those days!
