Dang, too late to tell them about it now

Before I started working as a writer of crime fiction, I probably would have had a harder time naming friends of mine who would eagerly ask me where they could buy these.

I found the link on Mondo Chicago. Alana Waters, who took the photo, also made some beautiful cards that benefit Hurricane Katrina relief. And oh yes, it's still needed.

Hi,I'm doing a school report on your book "kidnapped." I was wondering if I could by chance interview you by email or some other way.

Hi Adam,
I'm usually hesitant to do this, because e-mail interviews are so time consuming, and because while I am sure you have read the book, sometimes I get contacted by students who expect me to do their homework. So if I say yes to someone who is honest and hardworking like you, I then have a harder time saying no to the flakes.
Also, almost any information you could need about me or the book for a report is probably on my Web site or this blog. (The blog can be searched -- see the upper left corner.)
But I remember what it's like to be a student, and I do appreciate your reading my book, so send an e-mail to me at jan (at) the domain name of my Web site (janburke.com), and let me know what you have in mind. Maybe we can work something out.

Yours,
Jan

Hi Jan! I just found this entry through Google. (Not Googling myself for ego, but for mistaken identity. Do it. You'll see what I'm talking about.) Your post was awfully sweet. Thank you! What a nice and fun find! I would love to send you a larger print of it if you'd like.
